Social Media Manager

 

The Marketing and Communications team at the Rock Church is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Media Manager. We are looking for a self-motivated leader, who thinks strategically, strives for excellence, loves to create content, communicates effectively, is inspired with creativity, and has a heart to serve and develop people.

Position Profile

  • Film and edit video content for web and social media platforms.
  • Create, edit, publish and share daily content that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take-action.
  • Establish content creation ideas, storyboards, and digital strategies for social and web.
  • Help train leaders throughout the organization on social media and marketing best practices and the Rock Church brand guidelines.
  • Recruit, equip and lead a team of social media, photo and video volunteers.
  • Develop church communication and promotions through effective copywriting, content marketing, and storytelling.
  • Compile weekly analytics reports and make recommendations to ensure the best opportunities for success and continuous growth.
  • Partner with the Public Relations team and media professionals in the community.
  • Help develop marketing campaigns and social media strategies for Rock Church, campuses, ministries and events.

Personal Profile

  • Strong videography and photography skills, with ability to edit design and social graphics.
  • Strong passion and gifting for content development.
  • Experience in developing and managing large social media and marketing campaigns.
  • Experience managing and leading teams.
  • Experience creating promotional content including videos and webpages.
  • Experience with advertising and branding.
  • Experience working closely with public relations and media professionals.
  • Invests in personal and professional development, continuously developing their craft.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Familiarity with Rock Church.
  • Faithful follower of Jesus Christ.
  • Participates in a discipleship community/group.
  • Dependent on the Word of God and power of prayer.
  • Familiar with Adobe Suite, Video editing software, Social Media and Project Management software, google analytics, email marketing, etc..
  • Passionate about evangelism and discipleship.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns, tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written with experience in public speaking.
  • Highly adaptable in a face paced and changing environment.

Educational and Ministerial Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, organizational communication or a similar field of study
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in leading social media strategies

Leadership Experience

  • Experience in direct supervision of employees and volunteers
