Primary Function: Provide DIRECTION, ORGANIZATION & ADMINISTRATION for a particular Childrens Ministry Department to ensure effective Bible teaching, application, recruitment of volunteers and care of children.
Sunday Morning Responsibilities:
- Affirm, support & encourage department staff (teachers, parent-helpers, volunteers).
- Organize all department sessions to ensure smooth functioning and quality Christian Education, including:
- Staff scheduling.
- Room set-up.
- Supplies and equipment needs.
- Substitute teaching if necessary.
- Observe and evaluate department staff to note problems and improvements.
- Serve as liaison to parents and Kids Kare Coordinator
Team Responsibilities:
Commitment & loyalty to Shadow Mountain Community Church, its leadership, mission and goals.
- Work with the Pastor to:
- Enlist & train new volunteers
- Train current volunteers
- Recommend and secure adequate facilities and resources.
- Develop divisional goals and objectives and implement a plan to meet them.
- Attend and encourage age-level staff attendance at training sessions.
- Attend leadership training and planning meetings with other Department Coordinators and Site Pastor.
- Complete and submit weekly numbers to the site Pastor

- Spend individual time with team leaders, teachers and team members to know strengths, weaknesses, concerns and prayer needs.
- Being available to assist with needs and problems.

- Provide hands-on individual training for personal growth.
- Communicate between Age-level staff members, team leader, teachers and team members.

Oversee Weekend Children Ministries Program:
- Ensure curriculum for all classes is ordered & distributed
- Ensure adequate supplies & equipment for childrens programs are ordered, distributed and maintained
- Secure a safe and healthy environment for children including a system of consistent, efficient, and safe check-in and check-out system
- Ensure proper set-up for all programs
- Observe and evaluate to ensure appropriateness and effectiveness of programming for all childrens programs

- 3 years plus experience in children's ministry.
