Position Summary:
The World Missions Operations Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the department of World Missions, this person should be highly organized and detail oriented, a servant leader, an excellent communicator, and a team player. The Operations Manager works with the World Missions team, Rock Church missionaries, and its global partners. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, and Squarespace is needed. Duties may include managing finances and donor relations, running the various operating systems of World Missions, effectively communicating World Missions content via website and social media , and occasional international travel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages Day-to-Day Operations of World Missions
Provide excellent "customer support" to Rock Church missionaries and World Missions donors.
Ensure the monthly financial duties of World Missions are processed in a timely manner.
Answer donor related questions via email or telephone.
Create and share relevant content across social media platforms.
Utilize FormAssembly and Salesforce to communicate with those interested in serving with World Missions.
Help manage World Missions website.
Assist in vetting potential missionaries and ministry partners.
Support Short-Term Mission Trips
Help develop and manage the operational systems and processes of mission trips, which may include processing donations, organizing team rosters, setting up team meetings, and developing team budgets.
Help recruit, train and disciple mission trip participants, ensuring policies are followed in regards to budgets, logistics, safety, pre-trip trainings and follow up, and each person is empowered to use their gifts to minister, mentor, and multiply.
Serve as a liaison with in-country mission trip partners.
Collaborate with World Missions Team
Assist in representing World Missions within Rock Church and to outside audiences, donors and partners.
Collaborate in development of new trainings and teaching content.
Support promotional efforts, ensuring visibility and a clear pathway to engagement with World Missions at all campuses.
Collaborate with Rock's creative teams as well as external marketing partners to ensure compelling and timely communication of stories, opportunities and needs to World Missions customer base, stories and opportunities across all available communication channels.
Collaborate on creation, maintenance and distribution of all promotional materials.
Assist in other ways as required.

Job-related Qualifications:
Education, Training, and Experience

S. degree in ministry, communications, business, mission work or similar field preferred.
Will consider applicants with 2+ years experience in applicable field that do not meet education requirements.
One to two years of experience in church or para-ministry environment preferred.
Experience in managing and operating systems that support a variety of tasks, such as Focus Missions, tithe.ly, FormAssembly, and Sales Force.
Evidence of effectively working within a complex, multi-dimensional/multi-cultural context.
Experience in managing online websites and social media platforms.

Job Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

Must possess strong time management and organization skills and ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously.
Formal training in international development or equivalent experience is preferred.
Spiritually mature while pursuing a deeper relationship with Christ.
Flexible in nature to handle other duties and special projects as needed.
Must possess strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), mac based software (iMail, iCal, Numbers, Pages, Keynote) and Apple devices (macs, iPads, iPhones).
Comprehension in internet-based communications (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Vimeo, Mailchimp, Wufoo, SurveyMonkey).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, including excellence in oral and written communications to verbalize issues clearly, concisely, and competently in positive or negative situations.
Demonstrated skills and techniques to recognize problems, issues and situations, and apply resourcefulness in finding appropriate solutions to mitigate potential negative effects. Ability to follow-through to ensure effective resolution.
Proven ability to interact in a consistently positive manner with external clientele, including volunteers, vendors, visitors and guests, using a high degree of tact, diplomacy, discretion, flexibility, respect and courtesy in gesture and speech.
Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions based on the vision and values of the Rock Church.
Adapts to changes in the work environment; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events with poise and professionalism.
Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; responds promptly to requests for service and works well in group problem-solving situations; strong team player who meets commitments.
Ability to work in a high volume environment while maintaining solid productivity and quality of work.
Self-motivated and flexible with strong organizational skills and the ability to work well with timelines and short deadlines.

Organizational and Spiritual Requirements:
Demonstrate Christ-centered behavior at all times by treating people with dignity, respect, compassion and integrity.
Utilize the principles of Matthew 18 and Ephesians 4:15 to resolve differences of opinion with others.
Successful completion of a thorough pre-employment references and background checks, which includes: Social Security verification, Local, State & Federal criminal conviction records search, national security database, and sex offender registry.
Attendance at all mandatory meetings and events. This includes serving at Good Friday, Easter and Christmas services as well as the annual volunteer appreciation event.
Member of The Rock Church (or willing to transfer membership to The Rock Church).
Regular involvement in The Rock Church activities, ministries and events.
Signed acknowledgment of The Rock Church's Statement of Faith.
Ability to interpret and adhere to the Rock's policies, procedures and employee handbook.
Be self-motivated and goal oriented, use good judgment and be flexible and innovative.
Be consistent in displaying a professional attitude and demeanor.

Physical Requirements:
