Qualifications
Experience with teaching Children and Youth and knowledge of Faith Formation development
Ability to teach in-person and/or virtually if required; and open to diverse faith perspectives
Ability to implement Church School Ministry and create community service and social justice activities
Minimum of 3-5 years of developmental and educational experience with Children and Youth
Current Certification for Child and Adult CPR
Proof of Immunization for COVID-19 and Influenza
Responsibilities
The Church School Director (Director) is optimistic, people-focused and vision-driven
The Director creates activities and implements instruction that glorify God and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Administers and coordinates the Church School Ministry
Provides developmentally appropriate opportunities for Children and Youth for engagement in Faith Formation; Community Service and Social Justice activities
The Director intentionally creates an environment that is welcoming and affirming of all participants; including family members and volunteers
Collaborates with Adult Volunteers to implement the vision and curriculum for the Church School Ministry
The Director demonstrates a passion to foster the affirmation of Loving God and Loving Neighbor
Facilitates age-appropriate curriculum and activities to foster Faith Formation
Demonstrates excellent communication skills with children, youth and adults
Reimagines and creates evolving methodologies to enhance spiritual gifts
Exhibits excellent organizational and administrative educational development techniques
Creates both in-person and virtual educational opportunities for family participation
Evaluates efficacy and implementation of vision and goals of the Church School Ministry
Implements the Church School Ministry for Children and Youth
Prepares age-appropriate Church School Curriculum activities during the Program Year
Engages Adult Volunteers in spiritual development e.g. Prayer Circles, Bible Study
Benefits
Compensation will be $5,000 for the Church School Year (September through June)
A payment of $500 is provided on the last Friday of the Month
Pay: Up to $500.00 per month
