JOB SUMMARY: The Client Resource Specialist provides support to clients residing at the Harriet Tubman Women’s Shelter who participate in the Day Program activities. The position links clients to community resources and provides support of activities that include resume building, search for employment opportunities, housing placement follow-ups, coordinating health-rehab goals and individualized training programs supporting independent living in the community. The position carries a continually rotating number of participants actively seeking employment, housing placement needs, specialized training, or community health-related resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide engaging daily programming for clients.
Provide employment services for clients.
Provide case management support.
Participate in quality improvement and actively comply with quality improvement initiatives. Perform appropriate tasks and quality improvement projects for accreditation (COA). 3
Coordinate and supervise social, leisure, and fun activities; this may include but not limited to arts and crafts workshops, religious education, civic motivational talks, tabletop games such as crossword puzzles, coloring, drawing, music, and dance classes.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
For social work degrees, social work licensure in the appropriate jurisdiction is required.
For professional counseling degrees, professional counseling licensure in appropriate jurisdiction is required.

SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:
Communication skills (written and verbal)
Organizational and problem-solving skills
Telephone communication skills
Knowledge of computer systems (MS Office products)
