Job Summary: The Placement Specialist will manage day-to-day interactions between up to 175 student workers and 100 corporate partners with a focus on student development and corporate partner satisfaction. The goal being student growth and partner retention.Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Program Responsibilities: Serve as an ambassador for Don Bosco Cristo Rey (DBCR) and the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP)Assist in school wide and department special events and staff coverage as needed Input all supervisor and student interaction data in database Participate in regular staff meetings Collaborates with CWSP and DBCR staff on Student Performance and Departmental initiativesWork with the Corporate Work Study Program to transition partner portfolios Support the summer evaluations, placements, and training programs (especially Bridge) Document work flow and participate in continuous improvement effortsSupport morning check-in at the school or at Gallery Place metro, when neededEnforce CWSP dress code and check-in expectationsDocuments and report out any infractionsEnsure attendance is taken, tracked, and that all students are accounted for. Track missed workdays and work with the other Placement Specialists to ensure they are made up or paid for. Oversee the development of annual routes to ensure that drop-off and pickup points to job partner sites are organized.Coordinate attendance manifests with lead driver. CWSP eventsCreate CWSP marketing materials for events and post to social media outlets while working closely with Communications Manager.Responsible for creating and distributing quarterly CWSP newsletter.Recognition and Reward - coordinates a performance-driven student worker recognition programoIncludes Student Star of the Week, Supervisor of the Month, Honor Roll AssembliesStudent Responsibilities: Analyze student worker timesheets, bi-annual evaluations, site visit assessments, and supervisor interviews Monitor student worker performance. When needed, address poor work performance through student coaching sessions Contact the parent/legal guardian as needed Refer students to the Training Specialist to create a work performance improvement plan as neededOn board student workers for placementsReview student gradesAssist students in completing permission slips for work events on non-workdays or off-site events.Enforce CWSP dress code and check-in expectationsDocuments and report out any infractionsPartner Responsibilities: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (Champions, POC, Supervisors) within the partner portfolioCommunicate regularly with each students supervisor Complete a minimum of two site visits a yearWork to ensure 92% partner retentionOther duties as neededQualifications: Have a minimum of two years of experience in program development or administrationHave a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications especially Excel and WordHold a bachelors degree Possess interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and corporate partnersDemonstrate ethnic, racial, and religious sensitivity of the student bodyDemonstrate a commitment to the Schools MissionHave experience with youth from urban or low-income communitiesStrong analytical and organizational skillsAbility to work in an ever-changing environmentBilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
