JOB SUMMARY: The Project Assistant assists the Pro Bono Senior Managing Attorney and staff in managing immigration cases being represented by pro bono attorneys, organizing training and other events, and managing publications and online resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Track and manage cases referred to pro bono attorneys for legal representation. Ensure that pro bono attorneys complete case initiation forms, have available resources and materials for their cases, such as interpreters, and are in contact with their clients. Provide follow up with attorneys as needed.
Ensure that cases to be placed and referrals are included in the master table and Legal Server. Send out action alerts every week.
Regularly obtain and record case updates from pro bono attorneys.
Send satisfaction surveys to clients and attorneys, follow up on unreturned surveys, and document survey results.
Assist in outreach to law firms, bar organizations, and community/government partners by scheduling and tracking outreach, sending notices to invitees and attendees, ensuring availability of resources for events, and helping coordinate community outreach events.
Coordinate training schedules with presenters and law firms, publicize training, manage training attendees, and organize materials for training.
Take primary responsibility, with input from program attorneys, for updating and maintaining the Virtual Law Library.
Maintain the pro bono listserv, ensure that it is up-to-date, and email pro bono publications to the listserv.
Assist program attorneys in producing pro bono publications, such as the monthly Victories newsletter.
Ensure that the publication of cases and events through Paladin, AILA newsletter, the Pro Bono Resource Center, and other resources are up to date.
Manage the program’s presence on the Better Impact volunteer platform.
Assist with the recruitment of interns through law school intern fairs.
Help ensure the timely preparation and submission of all external and internal program reports.
Assist in fundraising efforts through direct mailings, email donor requests, and tracking donors and donations.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy, Social Sciences, Government, or a related field.
One year of experience working in event coordination, case management, or customer service position.
