Guitarist Clint Lowery of the rock band Sevendust gave God the glory following a successful tour, not long after first identifying himself as a “saved Christian.”

In an Instagram post published last week, the 54-year-old artist reflected on the rock band’s “ONE” tour, which he said was filled with meeting many new people, reconnecting with people he knows and praying for many.

“We had tons of laughs, we had some falls on stage, some cuts and bruises. Some good and bad days," Lowery wrote.

After thanking the fans who came out to see the group perform, the venues that hosted them and the crew who worked behind the scenes, Lowery identified “the creator” as “the main thing in all of this.” He referred to “God” and “Jesus Christ” as “the one who makes life possible” and “the truth.”

“I see God in all of this,” he added. “Every tour has had a version of all of this, but I truly see God and give him the glory in it ALL. Jesus loves me, he loves you. I’ve yet to find anything in my pursuit of ‘happiness’ that has fulfilled me the way he does."

"Chased drugs, money, alcohol, fame, lust, popularity, anything I could to fill the void. Even in sobriety I made some improvements but still stuck in self. I didn’t know how to truly love others without some type of condition. Except my wife and kids. That I always did effortlessly.”

Lowery, who has also toured with several other bands, including Korn and Seether, thanked God for “gifting us with longevity, a career long enough to FINALLY see you in it.”

"This good wave we are riding, this too shall pass," Lowery wrote. "But for today, in the absolute present, thank your scripture, your forgiveness, your restoration you’ve given me, to repent and know you are God. I love you Jesus, I love who ever is reading this."

In March 2025, Lowery first shared with his fans on social media that he completed his first tour “as a saved Christian," saying he was "still building [his] relationship with Christ” and "still a sinner, flawed and broken.”

“BUT … I’ve been able to see the world through a biblical [lens],” he continued. “It’s been the most profound and spiritual tour I’ve done in my career.”

Lowery characterized his prevailing sentiment throughout the tour as “less self will and more of [God’s] will.”

Wristbands were featured in the March 2025 image accompanying his Instagram post, which displayed the passage Romans 8:14, the word "Warrior" and the phrase “Trust God.” The musician praised the bracelets as “reminders when I sink into the darkness of my thoughts and fears.”

“Waiting for my family to arrive for our last show of this unbelievable tour I did not know I would be able to do but God made the way. I know he did," he said.

"I never want to boast, or stand on a soapbox, I’m simply stating what has helped me keep moving forward in a better direction. So much respect for my band mates, crew and management. We did some good boys. Glory to God.”

The biography on Lowery’s Instagram profile describes the musician as a “follower of Jesus Christ.”
