Position: Full-time day hours Monday - Friday

Location Information

Saint Therese offers a continuum of care and services available in a person's own home or in one of our four Twin Cities communities: New Hope, Brooklyn Park, Shoreview, and Woodbury.

Rooted in history, Saint Therese of New Hope is our largest community. This care center has 168 skilled nursing beds for long-term and transitional care. In addition, the Residence at Saint Therese of New Hope houses 224 independent apartments and suites for assisted living and memory care.

ResponsibilitiesProvides Sacramental Ministries to Care Center and Apartments. Committed to the spiritual care of all residents, families, and staff of all faiths.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of an accredited Nat. Assoc. of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) or Clinical Pastoral Experience (CPE) program or its equivalent required bachelor's or master's degree in Theology or related field desirable.

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Related experience required in a health care of long-term care facility preferred
  • The interpersonal skills needed to work with distressed and anxious residents, families and staff.
  • The communication skills necessary to counsel residents, families, and staff.
  • The analytical ability to assess patients spiritual needs and sense of well-being and find appropriate solutions to resident problems.
  • A commitment to those experiencing anguish and distress.
  • A commitment to excellence in customer service. Always kind, warm and welcoming displaying Christ like values.
  • Comfortable with prayer and spirituality.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office.
