ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Client Advocate I:
- Provide high quality customer service to all persons by completing all applicable client requests.
- Be vigilant of the facilities safety and security by utilizing conflict resolution and de-escalation skills to defuse crisis situations as required.
- Responsible for promptly and accurately collecting, entering, managing and reporting of client data into systems of record.
- Respond to and submit incident reports for all instances of chemical abuse, theft, threats and violations of program rules.
- Serve as a Mandated Reporter.
- Complete regular rounds checking all exits, fire doors, and safety equipment, as well as monitoring residents’ activities in common areas to ensure safety and security.
- May drive van and/or administer breathalyzers, as required for program.
- Other duties as assigned.
Client Advocate II: (in addition to above)
- Assist supervisor/manager with program development, facility operations, and other responsibilities.
- Assist with mentoring and position-specific training, as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
Client Advocate I:
- Ability to work with low income populations, including those who may be experiencing homelessness, unstable housing, and/or mental illness required.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to accurately enter data into computer system for reporting purposes.
- Must be 21 years of age and successfully pass a criminal and a Department of Human Services background check, if required by program license.
Client Advocate II: (in addition to above)
- Minimum of (1) one year of relevant experience.
