Qualifications
•
a) At least five years of demonstrated experience in property management or related buildings and grounds maintenance experience
•
b) Thorough knowledge of buildings and grounds maintenance programs, repairs, cleaning practices, supplies, equipment, tools, and skilled trades
•
d) Maintaining a State boilers license (up to first class C low pressure)
•
e) Good communication skills with a desire to serve others. f) A proven record as a self-starter who enjoys problem solving

Responsibilities
•
To manage and maintain the properties, facilities, and equipment of Hope Church so that Hope’s mission and ministry can be realized as fully as possible
•
c) Able to lead and supervise the work of others
•
In support of the ministry goals of Hope Church, schedule and manage use of property, facilities, and equipment, including vehicles, and boats at Hope Shores
•
Oversee all preventative maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and upkeep
•
Maintain a continuous program of inspections to stay within all codes and safety requirements
•
Manage the purchasing/leasing of furniture, fixtures, and equipment
•
Maintain proper operation of the heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and all other mechanical systems
•
Manage the overall security and safety of the facilities and grounds
•
Prepare specifications and plans for contracts and for supplies, materials, and equipment used for operation and maintenance of the facilities and grounds
•
Review plans and specifications prepared by architects and engineers
•
Inspect and supervise repairs, alterations, improvements, and any new construction
•
Supervision (20%)
•
Supervise and direct custodial and maintenance staff, including responsibility for hiring, training, and day-to-day tasks
•
Supervise volunteers that work with any and all aspects of the facilities and grounds
•
Recruit and equip special events staff, including Sunday morning Facility Hosts
•
General administration (30%)
•
Plan and oversee annual budget for all of Hope’s property and facilities
•
Serve as a member of the Servant Leadership Team
•
Serve as an ex officio member of the Finance and Property Committee
•
Serve as a member of the Hope Shores ministry team
•
Perform other specialized tasks and projects as assigned by the Lead Pastor/Head of Staff
•
The Director of Facilities is accountable to the Director of Administration
•
This position works closely with staff, volunteers, and the Finance and Property Committee of the Session
