Director of High School Youth Ministry

DESCRIPTION
Inspire and equip teens in their relationship with Jesus and his Church through evangelization, high-quality formation, vibrant youth group meetings, prayer leadership, spiritual guidance, retreats, Christian service, and social/relational ministry.
Direct, oversee, develop, and manage all high school ministries, programs, and activities, including curriculum, parental involvement, support resources, budget, and the recruiting and scheduling of volunteers for assigned ministries.
Coordinate the recruitment, training, and supervision of all ministry leaders, discipleship group leaders, chaperones, and support teams involved in the assigned ministries.


QUALIFICATIONS
Be a practicing Catholic with a sound understanding of Catholic Tradition and Scripture.
Live a basic lifestyle consistent with Church teachings to be a role model for teens and families.
Desire to help lead teens and families of the Parish to become authentic disciples of Jesus Christ. This includes the desire to win teens and families.
College graduate with a Youth Ministry, Faith Formation, or equivalent background.
Solid communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to initiate and problem solve.
Be knowledgeable in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook).
Be flexible in dealing with unscheduled requests and evening and weekend hours.
Comfortable leading and speaking to large groups of people.
