Saint Agnes School is now accepting applications for a full-time long term substitute History Teacher beginning August 2022 through approximately mid-November 2022. The position’s primary duty is teaching History to students in grades 9-12. Daily duties include lesson planning and delivery, grading student work, maintaining accurate records, communicating with parents, student supervision, and collaborating with colleagues.

Desired candidates also have a passion for educating and forming Christian youth, as well as possess an interest in collaborating with other instructors. Important characteristics include building positive working relationships with adolescents, a focus on student learning, classroom management, the ability to collaborate on a team, the ability to integrate some technology into instruction, and competence in the variety of subject areas taught. Saint Agnes seeks teachers who possess a love of learning, devotion to the school’s mission and philosophy, and a desire to support the intellectual and spiritual development of each student.
QUALIFICATIONS
Practicing Catholic – recommended; Bachelor of Arts degree - required; Teaching License - preferred, but not required; Experience - preferred, but not required
Other Desired Qualifications: Polished and effective oral and written communication skills; Ability to develop and deliver effective lesson plans; Ability to manage well a classroom environment; Ability to relate well with students; Willingness to support and serve co-curricular programs
