KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Human Resources Associate will manage the full cycle recruiting, hiring and onboarding for Grace Church, as well as providing additional HR assistance in the following areas:
- Responsible for recruiting for open and replacement positions for the staff, including but not limited to: Posting open position, managing applicant tracking system, communicating with potential job candidates, phone screening and interview scheduling with hiring managers.
- Manage the New Hire onboarding process, including preparation, paperwork, compensation agreements, and scheduling welcome orientation items.
- Process and manage employee terminations and off boarding
- Maintain the employee database as necessary
- Administer staff recognition programs as directed by the HR Manager
- Manage personnel files & record keeping under Federal and State Compliance laws
- Manage Background Check process, including re-verification for employees as needed
- Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries via e-mail and or HRIS system
- Run reports for HR Manager as needed
- Assist in Employee Benefit Management; Helping new hires understand benefit eligibility, enrollment and questions as needed
- Additional duties as assigned
PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Communications or Human Resources emphasis preferred
- 2+ years in full cycle recruitment and new hire orientation required
- 2+ years in an administrative role required
- HRIS experience; Paycom knowledge preferred
- Proficient in computer skills: Office 365; Teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to manage confidential information with the highest levels of integrity
- Must be able to quickly resolve problems
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
- Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit
- Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20)
