The Church of St. Frances Cabrini is a progressive Catholic community of social consciousness and community action, where many members partake in active leadership in the life of our parish. A strong liturgical life is at the center of all we do. We are a tucked in a residential area of the Prospect Park neighborhood of Minneapolis, which is centrally located in the metropolitan region. Our parishioners come from all across the Twin Cities.
We seek an attentive and creative faith formation coordinator(s) to aid our community in living out our mission. Familiarity with the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program is desired, and being a team player is a must.
QUALIFICATIONS
Work with Lifelong Faith Formation Committee to plan overall Faith Formation opportunities for the community.
Establish effective communication with parents and parish community.
Plan, manage and assess curriculum.
Recruit, equip and train volunteers for the program.
Provide information, direction and follow-up to volunteers to assure they become credentialed under the Essential 3 (E3) guidelines prior to the start of their duties.
Actively participate in teaching on Sundays.
Schedule and conduct or oversee annual sessions for all elementary, middle and high school students according to the Protection of Children and Youth guidelines of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.
Identify and procure materials and equipment as needed for programs and activities.
Identify and plan participation of children in liturgical and other parish events.
Serve as the staff person responsible for responding to the needs of the volunteer-led adult Faith Formation efforts.
Attend meetings within the parish which involve Faith Formation.
Conduct sacramental preparation for First Eucharist and Confirmation of children and youth.
Ensure that all events at the parish follow policies and best practices for the safety of children and youth.
Report annually to the Archdiocesan Office for the Protection of Children and Youth (OPCY) regarding compliance with the E3 and children and youth safety lesson requirements.
