Ministry Associate
Position Overview: The University Ministry Associate works with the University Pastor to accomplish the University ministry Goals to:
1. Proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the CSP community (Matthew 28)
2. Collaborate with the CSP community to provide loving interactions with Jesus Christ for every student during their time of enrollment.
3. Facilitate opportunities for the discipleship of CSP students, staff, and faculty in lasting, fruitful faith in Jesus Christ.
General duties include developing and leading Bible studies, small groups, and discipleship programs; coordinating social media; assisting with chapel planning and leading; and engaging in the intentional ministry of presence and welcome that makes spiritual care and evangelism possible.
Essential Duties:
- Bible studies, small groups, and discipleship programs, especially for international students, athletes, commuter students, faculty, and staff.
- Engage in the ministry of presence on campus and spiritual care for CSP community, especially for international students, athletes, and commuter students.
- CSP Ministry event planning (CSP Ministry cookout, ice cream social, Beautiful Feet, etc.). Coordinate hospitality to campus visitors (LCMS delegates, mission agencies, area pastors, etc.).
- Assist with CSP Ministry planning and coordination (student leader training, ministry club advising) and contribute to Lutheran ethos on campus.
- Manage CSP Ministry social media and website, and provide online students ministry engagement opportunities. Assist with weekly online devotion for online adult students (CSP Global).

Experience & Education:
- Bachelor's Degree: Required
- Website creation and management training or equivalent experience: Required
- Social media communications training or equivalent experience: Required
- 5-10 years Substantive professional ministry work in a congregational, missionary (domestic or international), or university ministry setting experience: Required
- Strong written communication skills: Required
- Strong oral communication skills, including public speaking and interpersonal communication experience: Required
- Experience in event planning, marketing and program coordination: Required
- Ability to lead discipleship and training for ministry outreach: Required
- Ability to collaborate on the university ministry website webpages, social media, and CSP’s online presence: Required
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite: Required
