POSITION SUMMARY

Leads staff and volunteer teams who create safe and inviting experiences and develop relationships, so that kids can know and follow Jesus. Champions recruitment and development of Early Childhood and Elementary volunteers. Equips and empowers high level leaders to lead others. Partners with families for pastoral support and spiritual direction. Reports to the Campus Pastor.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises Kids staff: Leader of Kids Ministries and Kids Care Coordinator
  • Invites attenders to serve in Kids Ministries: room volunteers, special needs, small group leaders, tech, worship leaders, and teachers
  • Equips and inspires Kids staff and volunteers to invite others to serve
  • Identifies and leads volunteer directors and team leads to lead other volunteers
  • Executes centrally designed Kids Ministries strategies, teaching, worship, and small group curriculum
  • Upholds Kids Ministries safety policies and procedures
  • Develops effective teachers and engaging song leaders
  • Oversees attender experiences: check-in, Kids environments, worship, and teaching
  • Provides pastoral care and spiritual direction for kids and their families
  • Influences parents as leaders of their child’s spiritual development
  • Provides input and feedback to Kids Ministries development team
  • Ensures safe adult to kid ratios throughout the Kids space
  • Ensures Kids staff and volunteers are trained in and executing Kids safety guidelines
  • Performs Pastoral functions including on-call, visits, weddings, and funerals
  • Works with staff at campus to assist with ministry needs of the campus
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience (typically 4+ years) required
  • Bachelor’s degree in education and/or kids’ ministry preferred, seminary training, or equivalent combination of education and experience (typically 8+ years) preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in building and leading teams of people
  • 2+ years of experience in Kids Ministries or education
  • 1+ years of experience working with child’s emotional, physical, and spiritual development
  • Follower of Jesus and aligns with Eagle Brook’s nine core beliefs
  • Meets Biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership
  • Passion for sharing the Kids Ministries vision with families/volunteers

WORK SCHEDULE

Generally, Saturday - Wednesday, plus some evenings for meetings. Needs to be able to meet when volunteers are available.
