REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To be present where needed, ready to work as needed to meet responsibilities, to include many evenings and weekends. Includes recognizing when situations require more effort, seeking approval to put in more time if needed, satisfying responsibilities in a timely manner, and generally ensuring all is ready and prepared.
- Serve as main point of contact related to Our Lady of Grace mission initiatives for parishioners, staff, school, and external agencies.
- Work with and recruit volunteers and serve as the main point of contact to direct physical donations to the appropriate missions. Communicate with external agencies regarding ongoing needs and with potential donors to maintain relevant donation and fundraising cycles.
Maintain volunteer rosters and training materials, maintain volunteer and donation schedules, coordinate regular events, write bulletin and other communications, and order supplies. Must have intermediate level of experience in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook and Excel. Must have intermediate level demonstrated experience with Signup Genius.
- Collaborate with & serve as a resource for the school, Men’s Club, Young Professionals and other ministry areas regarding the mission work of Our Lady of Grace.
- Jesus sent his disciples out together. This position needs to develop teams, make collaborative relationships, and develop relevant committees to carry out the parish missionary outreach.
- Collaborate with Director of Pastoral Care, Pastor, parish staff and leadership, and external agencies to ensure appropriate ministry is evident at Our Lady of Grace in serving our mission including but not limited to:
Leadership of Ghana Mission, including coordination of logistics and formation of team and traveling with team
Ghana Students U.S. School Experience
Pro-Life Ministry liaison
Food ministries, including Sharing & Caring Hands, Loaves & Fishes, and Meals on Wheels
San Max sister relationship in Honduras
Saint John Paul II School liaison
Quarterly Blood Drive liaison
Justice Board liaison, coordinating grant and gala requests supporting OLG initiatives
Joseph the Worker Job Board liaison
- To be present at major department functions of Our Lady of Grace, including but not limited to the following occasions:
Ghana and/or Honduras mission trip send-off, Ghana student visits, volunteer recruiting weekends, volunteer appreciation events, San Max monthly rosary, Rise & Shine annual breakfast, Saint JPII school events, Pro-Life ministry initiatives and events.
- Oversee and manage department supplies and physical donation items as well as financial donations related to the mission work. Maintain an organized storage space for physical donations. Coordinate financial donations with Accountant and relevant stakeholders.
- Work with and recruit volunteers and serve as the main point of contact to direct physical donations to the appropriate missions. Communicate with external agencies regarding ongoing needs and with potential donors to maintain relevant donation and fundraising cycles.
- Be available for social interaction and individual consultation with church members, staff, and the public regarding the needs of our mission partners.
- Network with parishioners to connect and explore existing outreach relationships as it relates to OLG mission work and perform other duties as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Employment in and by the Church is substantially different from secular employment. Catholic employees must conduct themselves in a manner which is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church. It is required that this employee be an active participating Roman Catholic.
The successful candidate must be gifted in identifying the outreach opportunities at our parish and gifted in helping parishioners discern how God is calling them to engage in the ministry. We seek someone with a willingness to engage with individuals in need, and especially to bring the Good News to our volunteers and to the poor, making Jesus Christ known and loved.
