Catholic Charities St. Paul & Minneapolis is seeking two experienced Property Managers. Catholic Charities property managers are responsible for the daily operations of assigned site(s), in order to provide a safe, well-maintained and socially healthy community. This position works closely with program staff and managers to ensure that day-to-day residential duties are accomplished in an efficient, compliant manner. The Property Manager II is also responsible for the direction and supervision of assigned staff.
Property Manager I- Located in the Elliot Park area of Minneapolis, Endeavors residence is a permanent supportive housing program for 160 individuals. Endeavors residents are housed through Housing Support GRH/LTS funding, VASH funding, HUD COC,
Essential functions
Property Manager I:
- Conducts regular building and unit inspections.
- Collects and processes rent as well as accounts payables.
- Coordinates and ensures completion of tenant move-in and move-outs.
- Screens potential housing clients for eligibility, collects verifications, etc.
- Prepares and delivers correspondence with residents, such as eviction notices, rent collections, leave violations, etc.
- Creates and maintains tenant files.
- Leases vacant apartments in accordance with county and program requirements.
- Responds to tenant needs in a timely manager, ensuring lease obligations are met to tenants’ satisfaction.
- Participate in resolution of tenant/resident complaints or behavioral issues, as directed by supervisor and in conjunction with program staff.
Minimum qualifications
Property Manager I:
- Minimum of one (1) years+ experience in residential housing; experience working with Affordable Housing and Case Management Services preferred.
- Prior knowledge of medium property management in a residential housing with multiple funding structures (tax credits, GRH, HUD, etc.) preferred
- Ability to work with diverse and/or low-income populations, including those who may be experiencing homelessness, unstable housing, and/or mental illness required.
