Please Note: This is a part-time hourly position averaging 20 hours per month, with fewer hours in the summer months.
Position Summary: The person in this position is responsible for facilitating and promoting the annual appeal for the Retirement Fund for Religious (RFFR).
Essential Functions of the Position:
Create Promotional Resources:
Work with the Communications Office staff to create RFR appeal marketing materials (videos, articles)
Manage plan to facilitate electronic donations
Write promotional articles for the Catholic Spirit and Archdiocesan Update
Promote appeal through Relevant Radio interview
Create Parish Appeal Materials:
Send thank you letter acknowledgements to pastors and office managers
Manage in-house monthly chart of donations
Communicate annual financial success through Catholic Spirit article
Chair the RFR Advisory Board:
Includes lay members, as well as men and women religious
Send monthly communication and updates
Facilitate members volunteering to make thank you calls to parishes contributing $5000+, and contacting non-parish institutions with RFR posters
Manage In-house Financial Receipts:
Mail a thank you letter for appeal donations to pastors and office managers in a timely manner;
Update the thank you letter annually;
Send a special thank you card to CCF donors
Reception and Recording of RFR Donations Done Through the ACC Finance Staff:
RFR Coordinator receives daily donation updates from finance
RFR Coordinator has access to financial records of parish donations
QUALIFICATIONS
Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Good personal relationships with NRRO office staff, pastors and people of the Archdiocese;
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written;
Ability to appear in marketing materials;
Organizational skills;
Ability to work in collaboration with others;
Strong interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications: (Education and Experience):
Person living in Consecrated Life;
Identifies with the benefits and need for the RFR appeal
Welcomes the support and collaborates with ACC staff members in this endeavor
Experience: Any professional experience with resource development positions would be a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
