Ministry Area Purpose:
The Next Generation Ministry exists to partner with parents to help children and students (birth through college) become followers of Jesus and know they are loved by God, empowered by His Spirit, and called to share Jesus with the world around them.
Role:
Provide administrative assistance and support to the Student Ministries team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Student Ministries Pastor/Directors in ministry.
- Maintain space requests in eSpace, ensuring all requests are finalized for each event.
- Design and maintain all event registrations, set up, and maintenance of student records in the Church Management Software (ChMS).
- Prepare communication materials (Volume One, etc.) by partnering with the Communications Team to support Student Ministry.
- Attend weekly Student team meetings
- Assist in preparing for and being present at departure for all major events including camps, retreats, mission’s trips, etc.
- Oversee volunteer team for check-in and registrations for major events.
- Assist in maintaining a Student Ministries Policies and Procedures Handbook
- Maintain Student Ministry Volunteer Background Checks
- Oversee Student and Volunteer Birthday Card process
- Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Requirements
- Someone who lives a life that honors God in heart, actions, and relationships, with the goal of becoming more like Jesus
- Three or more years general office experience (preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
- Database and graphic experience (preferred)
- Creative, flexible, and versatile working style
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Ability to relate to other Westwood staff and church attenders at large
- Endorse and support Westwood’s Statement of Faith
- Remain a member in good standing of Westwood Community Church
