DESCRIPTION
The Church of Saint Ignatius in Annandale, Minnesota is searching for a youth director and a director of religious education.
The parish is open to hiring someone to continue to do both roles or splitting these positions into two separate part-time positions. We could explore either possibility with interested candidates depending on interest, availability, and qualifications. We are also open to adapting the position to a candidate’s gifts and interests to find the right candidate for our youth.
General responsibilities of a combined position would be:
1. Plan, implement and coordinate programs of Faith Formation for elementary, junior high and Confirmation students and coordinate sacramental preparation.
2. Provide leadership and coordination for the pastoral and spiritual development of youth and their families.
3. Provide opportunities for the youths’ full participation in all aspects of parish life, and to foster their total personal and spiritual growth as Catholics.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Practicing Roman Catholic
- A strong passion for the faith and for passing that faith onto children.
- Knowledge of and the ability to apply the catechetical documents.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to recruit volunteers and work with parents of youth.
