GENERAL OVERVIEW

The Executive Assistant / HR Coordinator supports the Executive Pastor and coordinates the HR Function. The Executive Assistant (EA) is responsible for providing high-level administrative assistance to the Executive Pastor to allow them to focus their highest contribution to developing vision, strategy and staff development.

The Executive Administrative Assistant/HR Coordinator at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship is a fulltime position whom works directly with the Executive Pastor. This person must be able to think intuitively, take action and clarify direction, as well as be able to function in a multi-task environment and with interruption. Expert level written and verbal skills, strong attention to detail but also ability to make decisions and move forward. A high level of confidentiality and professionalism are crucial to this position. This involves expert knowledge in administrative practices and using good judgment on all matters of a highly confidential nature.

This is a fulltime salary position, Monday-Friday (8am-5pm).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support Human Resources

  • Payroll: Review and approve each payroll
  • Compensation/Annual Reviews: Maintain HR Total Compensation spreadsheet and oversee annual performance review process.
  • Benefits: Research best plans/pricing and compile annual benefits package and oversee enrollment/changes.
  • Staff Handbook: Review to keep updated (every 6 months)
  • Onboarding/Offboarding: Ensure new employees are cared for and supported with a consistent, comprehensive, thoughtful onboarding process and assist in employee separating from employment
  • HR Files and Compliance: Maintain accurate files and required legal postings; keep CPCC up-to-date on Federal and State compliance regulations

Administration:

  • Heavy calendar management for Executive Pastor: scheduling/rescheduling appointments with internal and external executives and assistants, speaking engagements, conferences, Board meetings, travel (national and internationals)
  • Meeting logistics: Prepare and manage all Board meeting packets, document staff meeting minutes, prepare for meetings and events as requested
  • Manage phone calls and correspondence: High-touch position speaking with various people to follow-up on ministry needs.
  • Manage relationships well, both internally and externally – be able to have tough conversations when needed.
  • Technically strong in MS Office (Excel, ppt, Word, Outlook, etc). Rock or Open Database System experience preferred.

Accountability:
Must be self-directed, detail orientated and possess good problem solving and multitasking skills with the ability to follow through and get results. Will be responsible for the integrity of maintaining professional relationships and image for the office of senior executive(s) Pastors and general staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

  • Must have 5+ years recent administration experience at the executive level.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
  • HR Generalist experience; HR certification preferred
  • Must align with the vision, values, and doctrinal statement of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship.
  • Must be a member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship who supports the vision and values.
