What We Seek
The Finance and Administrative Assistant serves to manage the daily financial and administrative tasks of the church with a high degree of integrity and attention to detail, working closely with the Treasurer and Director of Operations to maintain trust in the fiscal and administrative functions of All Saints’.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process and post weekly contributions and pledge payments.
  • Prepare bank deposits and monitor bank accounts.
  • Process financial transactions – both payables and receivables, including calculating submissions for HR benefits programs.
  • Track monthly online recurring and one-time gift transactions.
  • Assist with fundraising projects by tracking donors, revenues and expenses.
  • Assist with annual pledge campaign.
  • Prepare financial reports for vestry, finance committee and staff.
  • Work with outside accountants to prepare for annual audit.
  • Write and send acknowledgement letters for gifts to pledge campaign, special days and other fundraising projects.
  • Ensure accurate data updates and tracking in Realm database of donor and parishioner information.
  • Oversee the proper collection, receipt and handling of money with the Treasurer and Director of Operations.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining office supplies, event scheduling, and taking minutes at some committee meetings.
  • May assist with general correspondence.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Essential Qualifications

  • Must be able to handle membership and financial information with confidentiality, sensitivity and integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Previous experience in accounting and in use of commercially available accounting software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in accounting, nonprofit management, business, or a similar program.
  • Experience with CRM software.
  • Experience with relational databases.

Compensation
Starting at $20 per hour and dependent upon experience, plus full family health, vision, and dental insurance and contribution to Church Pension Group Lay Pension. Paid vacation and sick leave from first day.
