Job Description: Our ministry vision is to connect children to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their knowledge of Jesus and the Bible. The Kids Ministry Coordinator is responsible for the operation and scheduling of their assigned grades. This role is vital to reaching our ministry vision.
- Sunday morning service times: 8am, 9:30am, 11am
- Wednesday evening ministry groups: 6pm to 8:30pm
- Other ministry events as needed
- Other times in office as necessary
Essential Job Functions
1. Pass a background check and reference checks prior to working with any student.
2. Create a safe environment for all children.
3. Establish relationships with volunteers, parents and guardians.
4. Ensure each room is properly staffed and ready for each event, activity, or session.
5. Communicate the need for supplies, materials, and lessons to the Director in a timely manner.
6. Plan weekly Wednesday night and Sunday morning lessons to include biblically accurate messages and activities, in support of the church’s vision.
7. Become familiar with, implement and uphold security policies/practices.
8. Keep your work areas and classrooms clean and maintained.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
1. 1-2 years of experience working in kids ministry at a church or camp is preferred.
2. The successful individual will: 1) be a strong leader with a solid work ethic, 2) possess a passion for teaching students about God, 3) have a working knowledge of creative programming related to kids ministry programs and special events, and 4) attend ACC and be willing to become a member.
Spiritual Expectations
1. Maintain a growing and active relationship with the Lord.
2. Read the Bible regularly and listen to podcasts & sermons for the purposes of spiritual growth and knowledge.
3. Have a mentor/accountability partner.
4. Be committed to the doctrinal statement of ACC and its theological beliefs and standards.
5. Live accordingly to the ACC personal code of conduct.
