We have updated and revised this informative workshop to include the reasons why homelessness is growing at an expedentiated rate even though there is historical funding for homeless programs and housing being spent. We will dive into the reasons why the latest permanent supportive housing programs are not making a dent in the homeless problem and why some say they are the reason for the problem and not the solution. We will look at some of the latest studies, by the top experts in the field of homelessness, that demonstrate the current problems in the system.
Have you ever wondered why homelessness keeps growing in our communities? Why are the numbers increasing despite the record breaking amount of money being spent? Where is the money going?
You will be walked through the basics of understanding the life of living on the streets and its cost, where does money come from and where does it go. We also explore the various resources and services accessible to our neighbors experiencing homelessness, such as the basics of healthcare, State ID and Social Security.
Most importantly, the steps to transition back to the life left behind through our Homeless Intervention Program, Project: RESTORATION! Our impressive results speak for themselves, 318 homeless lifted off the streets, 95% success rate!
