Annual Christmas Bazaar, Bridge of Hope

Bridge of Hope is set to have its yearly bazaar for families it serves within the community. As shared on its webpage, the Bridge of Hope Bazaar is an excellent way for everyone to show love and share the message of Christ.

The Christmas Bazaar welcomes all families within the Bridge of Hope Community. Families can shop for Christmas presents for their children.

Parents can choose two gifts per child, wrap them, and carry them home for Christmas.

The church encourages its members to sign up and join them in serving at the Bridge of Hope Bazaar. All Peoples Church members can go to the location and sign up as volunteers for the bazaar.

There are various ways on how one can volunteer. Volunteers can wrap presents for parents to bring home, set up the bazaar, be a Spanish translator, and share the gospel. Other opportunities to volunteer include organizing the gifts and helping families check-in, etc.

Schedules for serving in the bazaar include the setup team on Mon. Dec. 13, from 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. Volunteers can also help on the same date from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Dec. 14, one can come and help from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Finally, if a volunteer prefers it, assisting on both days is also allowed.

 Bridge of Hope

To strengthen families through transition is one of the missions of the Bridge of Hope organization. As per its webpage, the transition can mean families leaving homeless and domestic violence shelters or recovery homes. Bridge of Hope also assists families facing a crisis.

It also aids refugees relocating from around the world. Bridge of Hope’s programs and resources also help special groups, including single parents, veterans, older people, and those with disabilities.

Local agencies from San Diego help provide furniture, clothing, and food to these families. Agency caseworkers refer their clients to Bridge of Hope every week.

Bridge of Hope works to provide furniture, clothing, and food to families from local agencies.

Additionally, the organization extends its services to the public. To fulfill its mission of serving the San Diego community, Bridge of Hope partners with San Diego’s 2-1-1 emergency food hotline.
