This Good Friday, Canyon Springs Church works with Casa de Gracia, its partner Latino Church. The church provides interactive devotions so people may experience how Jesus’ blood saves and sets humanity free from bondage.

These interactive devotions will take place on April 15. Canyon Springs Church prepares various stations within Scripps Ranch and another in Sycamore Canyon Park.

7 Places Jesus Bled, Interactive Devotions

Canyon Springs Church engages its members in celebrating Lent through the 7 Places Jesus Bled, Interactive Devotions. Its website invites its members and others to experience how Christ’s holy blood redeemed humanity.

As announced on its webpage, stations will open at 6 p.m. and close at 6:50 p.m. Then, participants should go to Sycamore Canyon Park for communion and worship at 7 p.m.

Canyon Springs Church asks everyone to bring a blanket/chair.

The service is approximately half an hour. Registration is required for this interactive devotion. As shared on the website, there is no order of location other than participants will end at Sycamore Canyon Park with a message about “Jesus Bled from His Skin.”

The organizers will alphabetically determine the other stations for these interactive devotions through a “shotgun” approach. Once registered, the church will assign the participant to a route to follow so they will experience all the three stations and finish at Sycamore Canyon Park by 7 p.m.

There are four different stations at four various locations. These are the Cove, the Scripps Ranch Community Park, Lake View Park (off Mira Lago), and Sycamore Canyon Park.

The Canyon Springs Church planned everything with kids in mind. The interactive devotions are appropriate for the whole family.

1 Peter 2:24 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross so that, free from sins, we might live for righteousness; by his wounds, you have been healed.

According to Living Free Ministries, the Garden of Gethsemane is the first place where Jesus shed His blood. Through this, Jesus won back the Will Power of humankind.

Next, the stripes or wounds on His back won back men’s health. Jesus bled with the crown of thorns on His head. This shedding of His blood won back prosperity.

After Jesus Christ’s resurrection before ascending into heaven, He tells the faithful of their authority returned to them through His bloodshed at the cross.

He brought back men’s authority over what they touch through His pierced hands. Then, by Jesus’ pierced feet, He won back men’s dominion or control over what places they walked.

Christ redeemed joy through His pierced heart. Finally, when Jesus bled inside, He delivered humanity from inner pain and iniquities.
