City Church San Diego hosted a three-day activity with Jesus for its young members in the SummerDaze Youth Camp from July 27, Wednesday, to July 29, Friday.

The church’s Facebook post noted that campers learned from guest speakers and positive mentors with their life-transforming messages.

Young people at City Church had “Crazy Camp Competitions, “ as further posted on their page. They added that the church also prepared carnival rides and indoor epic inflatable games. Participants joined in skate contests and three-on-three basketball games.

The campers had good snacks like Taco Truck, Chikfila, and In’n’Out. They noted that they had camp merch and more.

Young Adults Service

The San Diego Christian Leadership College (SDCLC) website revealed that Jerry and Tammy Mckinney, City Church San Diego's founders, also established the school. The website emphasized that the couple had the heart to witness young people's support for the church's building.

According to the same website, for more than 20 years, SDCLC has been training and letting the youth lead. They have sent out thousands of young adults to impact the world in ministry.

The college also emphasized that the trained young people are creating an influence in politics, business, and more.

The couple saw the importance of the young adult ministry, as noted on the website. As further explained, the two met in a young ministry in Portland, Oregon, wherein they learned life lessons and leadership during their youth.

The website said that the things they experienced led them to success. From the church's pioneering, they envision connecting people from all their journeys, ethnicity, and backgrounds. The college emphasized that they only have a simple vision: “Follow Jesus, Build a Great Church, Love People, and Love Life.”

Created for Big Things

SDCLC emphasized its mission to help individuals discover their purpose. They believed that everyone was made for big things.

The same webpage stated that SDCLC thinks the world is waiting for people to become what God planned for them to become. The college is willing to help them achieve that plan.

SDCLC believes Jesus came to revolutionize the status quo and destroy the religious status. As further explained, Jesus started a movement in the world that would change everything forever. They noted that He used people and chose those who would obey Him.

According to the website, it took Jesus two to three years to train His followers. Through the years, the disciples learned God’s purpose for their lives. SDCLC emphasized, “The season was challenging, but the result was priceless.”

The college mentioned that God is still working on establishing His church and His Kingdom. They added that He is still training and sending His followers to lead His mission. The website reveals that God is searching for individuals to obey him regardless of occupation.

According to the college’s mission, God desires everyone to be a leader who believes in who they are and “builds what He is building.” His works are something that lasts forever, as added on the website.
