As shared on the mission section of the webpage, members of the church established a free clinic in National City in 2015. A few years later, the clinic expanded its services and relocated to the Christ Ministry Center in the Normal Heights neighborhood of San Diego.
The church also welcomes volunteers for the free medical clinic. It is open every Thursday. All guests and patients will be served a hot meal in the evening.
The church treats chronic conditions and gives primary care for individuals whose only access to medical care is in a hospital emergency room. The Coronado Community Church aims to promote wellness, decrease the risk of diseases, and improve the quality of life through providing emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of all patients and their families.
In-Person Service Suspended
As announced on its website, Coronado Community Church suspended all in-person worship services until Feb. 27. As stated on the church's website, due to the surge of Omicron variant and set the health and safety of everyone as a priority, the church will go back to Sunday worship via Zoom at 10 a.m.

After the service, the church goes to serve Christ's mission in the world, through doing work of compassion and to the deeper meaning of life and the claims of the Lord at present.
Eric Smith serves as pastor for Coronado Community Church. According to his LinkedIn, Pastor Eric is an experienced Lead Pastor who has expertise in teaching, leadership, public speaking, and team building.
He acquired his MDiv focused on Theology/Theological Studies from Claremont School of Theology. As shared on the Coronado Community Church website, Pastor Eric served Methodist churches for over 40 years and retired from active status with the denomination.
As shared on the website, he has pastored seven churches in his career. His last congregation was St. Andrew's By – the – Sea in San Clemente.
Missions at Coronado Community Church
As stated on its webpage, the church provides dynamic Global Missions. Personal donations and fundraisers help the church to support several outstanding charities.
Among these charities are:
- Good Neighbor Center – This is a faith-based organization established in 1989. The organization is committed to equipping low–income individuals, families, and communities in South Bay, San Diego.
Its food bank currently serves 60 – 80 low–income families every month. The Coronado Community Church gives money and food to this organization.
- Strand Elementary School – The church gives Christmas gifts to 10 identified military families who attend Strand Elementary School.
