Women's Spring Bible Study at FCC is about finding joy in Philippians. Faith Community Church will engage ladies in this time of discovery every other Thursday. This Women's Spring Bible Study begins February 17, from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the church.

Women's Spring Bible Study, Joy

The Faith Community Church announced that it would be going through the Bible study book – Discovering Joy in Philippians on its website. The book's authors are Pam Farrel, Jean E. Jones, and Karla Dornacher.

Faith Community Church invites those who may have been discouraged to join Women's Spring Bible Study. This one is an interactive 11- week journey for all women. As shared on the church webpage, this study will help participants creatively engage with the scripture.

"…that your joy may be full." John 15:11

Moreover, joining in Women's Spring Bible Study will allow women to develop habits that are geared towards greater joy and peace. Women can refresh their happiness in the Lord through:

  • Daily lessons with an introduction and key questions for chapters will guide women to dig deeper into the heart of the Lord's Word and integrate joy-igniting activities into one's life.
  • Selecting Joy Devotions and inspirational quotes to ignite hope under challenging hours, as they discover to trust God's faithfulness and rest in His strength no matter what circumstances one finds himself in
  • Creative Connections. This one pertains to bookmarks and coloring pages that serve as an outlet to knit one's heart to the Lord and discover faith through artistic expression.

According to Discovering Joy in Philippian's website, this book was named  2020 Best Bible Study Book First Place. This Bible Study received good reviews from notable personalities, including Rhonda Rea and Jil Briscoe.

Joyful Verses in Philippians

As shared on the Soul Shepherding website, Paul was held in prison in Rome because of his faith in Jesus. He experienced persecution for his faith. Moreover, Paul was treated like a criminal.

Paul could have complained and become depressed. He could have been anxious and afraid about many things, including execution. Paul could've been mad at the Lord.

Paul did not feel nor do any of those. Instead, he wrote a letter with great gratitude, joy, and love to the people of Philippi. His joyful and grateful heart amidst adversities inspires everyone to do the same when facing life challenges.

He was happy and at peace because Paul was in the Kingdom of the Heavens, where he belongs, Phil. 3:20.

Moreover, Paul knew that God is near, as written in Phil.4:6.

In Phil. 1:2, Paul wrote about grace and peace – "Grace and Peace to you from our God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. "

Women's Spring Bible Study starts on Thursday, February 17, at 6:30 p.m. at the campus. Participants will meet every other Thursday.

Faith Community Church is located at 2700 Rancho Pancho, Carlsbad.
