Pastor Glenn Wade

According to the church’s website, Wade was the Senior Pastor of North Park Baptist Church for more than 20 years. They added that he has the heart to lead people to know Jesus, particularly those in pain.

Moreover, the website mentioned that Wade served his internship at First Baptist Church of San Diego while still studying in the seminary. He noted that during his stay at the church, God changed his purpose in life.

More importantly, the church emphasized that God had blessed him, his wife, four adult kids, and three grandchildren.

Pastor’s Secret Life

The Ministry Magazine website revealed the secret life of pastors. They emphasized that all life’s demands for a pastor include life, family, and obstacles in leadership and ministry. They said that all these things are worthy of their passion.

However, the website admitted that the activities and dedication could be overwhelming for pastors and that they could have few moments with God. As further explained, those essential activities and demanding tasks could easily take all their time.

The situation could lead shepherds to spend a few moments dealing with their soul’s fundamental needs, such as prayer, study, and alone time, as posted on the website. They added that church and ministry had become a business.

The website explained that many pastors and church leaders had become CEO rather than spiritual guardians.

Challenges for Pastors

According to Ministry Magazine, one of the struggles of pastors is the busyness of life and ministry. Some pastors do not have enough time to pray because they need to finish their tasks in the church, as further explained on the website.

The website stressed that messengers achieved little accomplishments because they do not walk with God. They mentioned that church leaders could easily let go of their routine of daily time with Jesus when they are overwhelmed by work and the demands of life.

They noted that busyness would never be a valid excuse for not having prayer time.

Unhurried Moment with Jesus

The website stressed that pastors find their foundation when they can have time with Jesus without rushing. The website noted Enoch as an example that when he walked with God, he does not hurry or rush to experience God.

They emphasized that Jesus is the pattern of all messengers of the Gospel, and prayer is part of life with Him. They explained that Jesus lived with prayer. Through prayer, He was inspired to do his mission.

Moreover, through prayer, Jesus felt empowered and is His source of joy, as further stated on the website. Besides, they mentioned that prayer was exciting, “all-absorbing paramount” for Jesus.

The website said Jesus thinks that prayer is a sweet and satisfying responsibility. Prayer prepares him for heavy obligations, as noted on the website.
