Gratitude Day, Celebration Sunday happen at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Diego

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship San Diego gears up for Celebration Sunday, its gratitude day. On May 1 at the church’s Core Area, it will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Celebration Sunday, Party

As announced on its website, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Diego encourages all to attend a special Sunday, May 1. It is a non-traditional service. 

According to the church, the Celebration Sunday is an excellent opportunity to celebrate and feel gratitude. The Celebration Sunday will feature dancing, singing, non – traditional service, gardening, and activities for all ages. 

Moreover, a sharing of gifts will happen during the service. A complimentary luncheon with vegan options available will be served.

The church organizes various activities for April and May. These events include “We Can and We Must Break Up with Offshore Oil Now,” “Swap ‘til You Drop,” and Singalong with Marshall Voit. 

Taking Action 

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Diego joins the North County Climate Change Alliance (NCCCA) in its goal to inspire, unite, and educate individuals, empowering people to search and act on solutions to the climate crisis.  

Brady Bradshaw will present important matters regarding climate change via Zoom on April 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The talk will feature ways to protect the coastline and fight climate change. 

A question and answer will follow the presentation.

North County Climate Change Alliance

As per its website, the North County Climate Change Alliance empowers people and organizations in North San Diego County to act on Climate Change.

NCC is a volunteer-driven, non–partisan, grassroots, and non–profit organization that works to equip people and organizations to do something about climate change. Such is made possible through education, mobilization, and collaboration. 

Its members and active volunteers educate people through monthly presentations in cities across North San Diego County and across the globe via Zoom. 

“Swap ‘til You Drop”

This event is a recurring one at the Unitarian Universalist Church of San Diego. “Swap ‘til You Drop” happens on April 23, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. 

The Pink Flamingo sponsors this month’s “Swap ‘til You Drop.” Everyone is encouraged to bring their most excellent unwanted items to donate and then shop for new items for free.

Door prizes await participants for most items donated and best-decorated packages or tables. 

Singalong with Marshall Voit 

As announced on the church’s webpage, this event is scheduled for May 22 at the Founders Hall. It will be on a Sunday at 4 p.m.

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship invites everyone to join this singalong event with Marshall Voit. All proceeds of this event go to UUFSD. 

Marshall Voit is the current music director of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Diego. His LinkedIn profile introduces him as a musician, worship leader, and community arts facilitator.

This faith community is located at 1036 Solana Drive, Solana Beach. The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Diego has no minister and is looking for various ways to move forward.
