Men at the Grove Church are encouraged to join the first-ever Grove Church’s men’s retreat in pursuit of overcoming mountains in life and go all-in for God from July 22 to July 24 at Rough Acres Ranch.
The church announcement mentioned that God is more significant, stronger, and more potent than any mountain.
They compared life to mountain climbing which could seem very intimidating and exciting. But it could also be tiring, painful, and challenging, just like life.
Besides, they highlighted that their guest speaker would be Mike VanMeter, the Men’s and Training Pastor at Foothills Christian Church.
Pastor Gabe Hernandez from the Grove Church organized the said retreat.
As posted on the announcement, there would be a $150 fee for adults and $100 for college students.
Guest Speaker
According to the Future Quest website, VanMeter served as staff for over 20 years at Foothills Christian Church.
They said that he is an associate pastor. VanMeter is passionate about helping students, young adults, and men to know the power and joy of living for God.
Additionally, they mentioned that God had blessed them with six enthusiastic children with his wife, Hannah.
Men’s Group at the Grove
The Groups section noted that as part of the church’s members’ growth, it offers various groups designed on each interest and need of its congregation.
These groups include the Men’s College Group, where they gather every Monday, led by their group leader Savian Perris.
The website stated that this group is a pure bunch of young men ages 18-24 looking for accountability and spiritual maturity in their fight against lust.
They added that this growth group would give them a secure environment for regular talks about their shortcomings and improvements.
The church said they are trying to build each other by offering ways to achieve freedom from sexual sin.
This group mentioned that they thrive on honoring God with their thoughts, sights, and actions.
Meanwhile, there is also the Men’s group for adults, where they gather every Thursday evening.
Caleb Alm leads the said group to discover God’s perspective about authentic manhood and how to apply His will to their lives.
In this group, men could learn to strengthen radically a man in their home life, work, school, and so on.
The church noted that this group would discover the meaning of being a Kingdom Builder. They invite other men members to join their group and know what God has prepared for their lives.
Besides, the website also posted that they have a Men’s Workout Group led by James Kingsley.
This group meets every Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to discuss the struggles of growth and responsibility through the medium of sweat.
They emphasized that working together and testing their bodies and brains might break down hindrances.
This effect would allow them to be together in genuine fellowship and be intentional about growing in Christ. They are inviting men to join them in their challenge.
The church also offers various groups for those men who are looking for ways to improve their marriage and family.
