Harbor City Church to distribute Thanksgiving meals with Servant Church

Harbor City Church partnered with Servant Church to give out meals and gift cards to 30 families on Wednesday, Nov. 23, at Logan Memorial Educational Campus.

The church’s website announced that it would need some help from its members to help Servant Church. They added that these families are related to Servant Church’s Youth Outreach and Alma Community Care ministries.

Interested members could register on the said website on Friday, Nov. 18, as noted by the Harbor City Church.

Church for San Diego

In another section, Harbor City Church emphasized that they seek to renew its city through the people God transformed. They want to glorify God by contributing to the development of their city, as added on the website. 

Moreover, Harbor City Church aims to reach out to others to make them Jesus’ followers. As added on the website, they want other people to encounter Jesus in their daily lives. Besides, the church wants them to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others in the city.

In addition, the website explained that Harbor City Church values God as the center of everything they do. They added that having a growing community is essential for them as they live out their purpose.

More importantly, having hope for the city's betterment is one of the church’s values. They also said that it is vital for them to equip their leaders to fulfill their mission.

Meanwhile, according to Servant Church’s website, their purpose is to help others as Jesus served them perfectly. They noted that they demonstrate God’s love towards others and spread His word to them.

They said that they conduct evangelism and intensive discipleship at Servant Church. The church added that they participate in its community by investing in its neighborhood. 

Moreover, Servant Church desires to see every individual, family, and member of its community in Greater Logan Heights discover the gospel of Jesus Christ. They emphasized that they wanted them to encounter how His grace could change their lives.

Discovering Greater Logan Heights

The Servant Church website highlighted that Greater Logan Heights is one of the most historical, ethical urban areas in San Diego. They explained that it is also the most populated city in the county.

In addition, they mentioned that it has six unique but the same community. Besides, the website said Greater Logan Heights is located between the east and south of San Diego’s downtown.

Moreover, they emphasized that the place has been the home of many newcomers to the city. Many service members and workers have been residing at Greater Logan Heights since the late 1800s, as stated on the website.

The website revealed that the area is now the youngest urban area, with 40,000 Hispanics, Blacks, and White living together. They said that it is a diverse blend of various cultures. 

In addition, there is a variety of industries in the city. As explained on the website, people could work in the art industry, commerce, and housing.
