As part of their summer activities, the Renew Women’s Ministry of Horizon Christian Fellowship (HCF) announced a free shopping experience for their Women’s Clothing Events on June 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at HCF Base Camp, Auditorium.

The women’s calendar announced that there would be sweet treats and a full day of fun. There would be women’s and kids’ clothing, shoes, and accessories to anticipate. Besides, members may drop off their gently used garments anytime between June 6 and 9. They did not advise the congregants to drop off bathing suits and undergarments.

In their current studies section, the women of HCF also revealed that they had completed their studies through the book of Joshua as part of their Bible studies. They added that they were astonished by the said book and could feel God’s presence.

Their weekly schedule is on break for the summer, as posted on the website. Yet they also noted that they have many programs throughout the season.

Women & Shopping, Inseparable

According to the Fashion Potluck website, women and shopping are indivisible. They said shopping seems to be a woman’s “best buddy” in good and bad times. The website is revealed most of the time, and it is relevant to their emotions. They added that these feelings could be high or low and drive a woman to run after spending.

Besides, the writer noted that she was not surprised to learn that it was more about psychological and medical conditions behind emotional spending. However, she stated that as a woman, they could think of many reasons that would explain their emotions that led them to shop.

The website also noted that there is nothing wrong with treating oneself quite often. People have desires and needs that drive them to purchase something for themselves. It could be the latest fashion trends that sometimes attract women or the building-up of anxieties and frustrations in life, the website added.

More importantly, the writer noted that buying the “best” and “unique” things for an individual is usually based on their early childhood experiences—a memory of specific unfulfilled demands and wishes that eloped in their late years.

Why Shopping

The writer's blog revealed factors related to why girls shop. She noted that women go shopping to keep up with the trends in fashion and styles and to meet their unfulfilled wants. Also, as posted on the website, shopping gave them a superior stance. Some differences will continue until men and women compete regarding rights, income, and leadership.

The challenge to take-on particular obligations that would look and feel women-driven will continue to increase its voice to take the feminist stance. The website added that this issue could be one crucial reason why women like shopping more than men.

The website also mentioned that buying things could give women the feeling of being in control of power. Shopping is a liberating way to attend to and act towards a lady’s wants and wishlist. They feel empowered to deal with their demands and desires by buying what they want.
