Makers Church will host an evening for local teachers, school workers, and Maker’s children’s volunteers on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

According to the church’s announcement, the event is an excellent opportunity to show their appreciation as the new school year starts. The website added that the Makers Care Teams and Family Ministry organized the appreciation night.

Besides, the church mentioned that participants could choose their bags. They could also select their classroom needs and office supplies. Educators and school workers could also enjoy a free chair massage during the event.

Makers Church would prepare tasty desserts for their visitors, as further announced on its website. They would also pray for the teachers for the new year.

Care Team

The care team page emphasized that their job is to ensure they provide for the needs of the church’s community. They noted that they led the congregation to reach out to its members and neighbors.

The team mentioned that they offer to pray and encourage people in their ministry. As stated on the website, they distribute meals, offer rides, and do more activities.

More importantly, the care team at the Makers Church offers a list of counseling and therapy referrals for its members and neighbors. They said they understand that some people need professional support.

The team emphasized they were willing to give more help aside from the support they were getting from the community.

Appreciating Teachers

The Gallup Research website revealed that being recognized is more than just feeling good. As further explained, consistent appreciation could directly impact the performance of an individual.

Based on their study, teachers who receive constant recognition could work more productively than those who don’t. The website added that they could deliver a more engaging output on their work.

The study shows that teachers who constantly receive praise would have a greater chance of staying in their school. According to the website, children and parents could be satisfied with the educators' performance.

The website emphasized that appreciating teachers could give them motivation. They could be more effective at their work. The research said that recognizing teachers does not must considerable money or time.

Standing Ovation

However, the Gallup website reported that only 29% of teachers received recognition for their hard work. Tim Hodges thinks teachers should deserve a “standing ovation” daily.

As further stated, they deserve this appreciation for dedicating their lives. They are giving high-quality work.

More importantly, as he visits schools around the country, he is in awe of the sacrifices of the teachers. Hodges mentioned that teachers are tired but still doing their noble work at every stage of education.

According to the same website, two things are required to recognize the sacrifices made by teachers. They said that it should be personalized and consistent. The website noted that it was a “recognition-rich environment.”

As further explained, praise should not only be given during Teacher Appreciation Week. They noted that administrators should show appreciation to teachers as often as possible.
