New City Church San Diego invites male members to join the Men’s Retreat for three days from Aug. 26 to Aug. 28, Friday to Sunday, at Palomar Mountain.
The church’s announcement said it would be an excellent opportunity for them to have time for prayer and worship. They also noted that male members of the New City Church would have the chance to enjoy having fellowship.
In addition, there would be a lot of activities during the said retreat, as further stated on the website. Some programs include hiking, sports, and archery.
As added to the announcement, participants could also enjoy trail riding, swimming, and zip lining. Besides, they announced that men at New City Church could try the gun range, paintball, etc.
As for the registration, the church informed those interested to register by Sunday, Aug. 14. They said it would be $275 per participant and $200 for children 11 years old and below.
The announcement mentioned that this fee would cover lodging, meals, and basic activities.
Palomar Christian Conference Center
According to the Palomar camp website, they are offering activities and programs that are filled with fun and could transform campers of all ages.
They informed campers that they run church group programs during the summer. As further explained, churches could utilize their facilities to help their members closer to Jesus Christ.
As for youth summer camps, they host eight weeks programs. Young people could experience adventure camps, horse camps, and base camps, as posted on the website. The Palomar Center stressed that these camps are suitable for children.
The center mentioned offering excellent lodging and meeting rooms for gatherings on their Retreat page. They added that they are open to hosting various groups throughout the year.
New City Church as family
In the Church’s Vimeo video, Vince, one of the church’s elders, noted that the church is all about gatherings and agendas for many people. But for him, getting together in life with other people and living out the gospel are one of the things he loves about the church.
He also said that he loves experiencing the promises of God and having a prosperous life. Vince added that once he experienced the goodness of Jesus in the community meant a lot.
He noted that he could not get enough because it changed him.
Meanwhile, Darell and Katie, members of the New City Church, noted that they have the chance to love the people who are challenging to love in the church’s Gospel Community.
Darell stated that the Gospel Community comprises believers of Jesus Christ acting as a family.
Joining New City Church, Katie stressed that she gets reminded that she is not easy to love every day, but Jesus still loves her.
In addition, John, another member of New City Church stated in the video that people at their church are a reflection of their city. He realized that God had adopted him to become a part of a family.
He added that being a part of New City Church made him realize that his identity is more than being in a community but belonging to a family.
