The Rock Church reaches out and comforts children mistreated by making dolls. They meet every First and Third Monday evening at Sew Pro’s stores, Clairemont Mesa Blvd. San Diego.

The church website announced that anyone who would like to create a doll could join them from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. They could stuff, sew, or learn how to stick hair. They also added that the store owner has been generous enough to allow them to meet and create their dolls in their store. They said they could access their sewing machines and keep all their supplies.

Doll Ministry

Doll Ministry holds on to the Bible verse from Mark 10:13-16 that says, “Then the people brought the little children to Jesus, that He might touch them. But His followers stopped them, but Jesus saw it. He was very disappointed and said to them, “Let the children come to Me, and do not stop them because they belong to the kingdom of God.” The church also highlighted what Jesus guaranteed whoever does not accept the kingdom of God as a little kid cannot enter it. The Lord took the children up in His arms and blessed them.

Rock Church’s Doll Ministry is a fellowship of creative members who make stuffed dolls to give to the Police Department to give to the kids who are being separated from their homes to calm and comfort them during confusion and anxiety, as posted on their website.

They are so glad that many individuals want to provide the Doll Ministry fabric, buttons, snaps, yarns, and ribbon. The said ministry expressed their gratitude to those willing to help their program. They reported that they had distributed more than 1000 dolls to children in crisis because of the kindness of people who supported them.

Those who wish to give monetary support may visit their website.

Doll Charity at Sew Pro’s Store

Sew Pro’s is a family business owned and managed by Janie and Stewart Tulledge, as posted on their shop’s website. Aside from their products and services, they also support the Doll Charity, wherein they welcome volunteers to use their equipment and place to create dolls for those abused children worldwide, as posted on their website. Recently, they reported that they had distributed dolls to young people in Arizona, Uganda, Mexico, Cuba, India, and Haiti. In 2009, the said charity delivered 1,600 dolls. Also, the same year, they gave dolls in Kenya as posted on the Doll Ministry Facebook group on March 17, 2019.

Dedication, Passion of Volunteers

The said Facebook page also shared a post for Sew Pro’s Store on February 12, 2020. They thanked all the female volunteers for making dolls for the police to bring with them in their cruiser and other abused kids. The post also mentioned that the said creation is beautiful and took hours for the volunteers to finish. They also highlighted that these groups meet four times a month to work on the dolls.

They also recognized volunteers behind the scenes, such as crocheting the shoes and creating the clothes. And most importantly, they acknowledge the individuals who donated the budget or materials for the group.
