The Rock Church Hiking Ministry announced their Friday Night Hikes are back. The church invites members to hike to the Grasslands Loop and Oak Canyon Trail on May 13 at 5:15 p.m.
According to the church’s announcement, it would be an excellent opportunity for a fun fellowship while enjoying God’s magnificent creation at sunset. They added that they would start the adventure at 5:30 p.m.
The church reminded those interested to evaluate themselves before joining on the hike. Besides, they posted that it would be a moderate hike with some hills. They said that the highlight of this event is witnessing the sunset and worshiping God in His creation.
The website noted it would be three to four miles and the approximate hiking time is about two hours. They also allow participants to bring their dog on a leash and are kid-friendly. They also reminded that if the weather is not good, they will cancel the said activity.
More importantly, hikers need to wear good running shoes. They should also wear comfortable clothing and a hat or visor. The website added that Hiking Poles are optional. They also need to bring their water, at least one liter, and snacks. The church advised them to bring headlamps or flashlights just in case it gets dark. Lastly, they reminded those interested in bringing their mask.

They also noted that those who wish to participate do not need to be an expert. They could start with an easy or moderate trek, the church added.
Moreover, they stated that the hiking ministry goes all over San Diego County, and there are a lot of excellent trails to choose from. The said ministry also collaborates with the Ninety-Nine Ministry for a Bible study on Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m.
