Saint Brigid Parish holds Hope for the Troubled Hearts - Divorce Support Workshop.
The workshop will begin on January 20, 2022, and will take place at Ministry Center 4735 Cass St., San Diego.

Saint Brigid Parish aims to support those who are separated or newly divorced. It also targets to help those who have been divorced for a while but still need healing.
The church schedules a Divorce Support Workshop entitled Hope for the Troubled Hearts. It encourages men and women to join this informative workshop.
Saint Brigid wants to make those dealing with separation and divorce that they are not alone. The church is committed to supporting and lending a hand to others in their journey to hope and healing.
Hope for the Troubled Hearts will discuss and process the intense pain from divorce. It will also help participants navigate the grief cycle and discover why the Catholic faith is vital to achieving healing.
Hope for the Troubled Heart will also share the 10 Critical Keys to Recover, things to avoid, and this to do.
Marriage, Divorce
The American Psychological Association website states that marriage and divorce are common experiences. Both have a significant impact on the family – couple and children.
Healthy marriage positively impacts all the parties’ mental and physical health. Children also benefit a lot from healthy marriages.
They grow up in a healthy home that protects them from mental, educational, physical, and social problems.
On the other hand, divorce may influence one’s well–being. It may result in many individuals experiencing depression, isolation, low self-esteem, loneliness, and other psychological issues/stresses.
According to marriage.com, the Austin Institute for the Study of Family and Culture used data from 4,000 divorced couples and identified top causes for divorce in the United States to include infidelity by either party, spouse unresponsive to the needs, incompatibility; immaturity of spouse; emotional abuse and financial problems.
The divorce rate in America is among the highest across all nations. Currently, there are 750,000 divorces per year in the United States. Additionally, the current divorce rate is 2.9 persons in 1,000 people.
In general, the divorce rate in the U.S is depreciating in numbers. Moreover, the average length of the marriage is 8. 2 years.
Saint Brigid Parish
Saint Brigid Parish is located at 4735 Cass Street, San Diego, CA 92109. Mass happens throughout the week. Sunday Mass is live-streamed and is recorded, and it can be viewed anytime.
It is celebrated at 7:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. While Saturday Vigil Mass is at 5:30 p.m. Daily Mass happens at 7:30 a.m.
Father Steve Callahan is the pastor for Saint Brigid Parish. Father Sebastian Bukenya serves as the assistant pastor. Its patron saint is Saint Brigid of Kildare, which has a Feast Day on February 1.
Night Watch at Saint Brigid
Night Watch happens every 3rd Friday of the month from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. It is a candlelight adoration with music. It is an excellent opportunity to personally encounter Jesus through praise music and prayer, according to the church.
