The Mission
40 Days of Life unites people of faith and conscience in 40 Days of prayer and fasting.
This movement is known for its visible effort of campaigning against abortion. The Pro-lifers engage in 40 – days, non-stop, round-the-clock prayer vigil outside a Planned Parenthood center or other abortion facilities in their community.
This presence in front of such facilities is peaceful and educational. It sends a powerful message about the tragic reality of abortion. During the 40 Days for Life campaign, the message is spread proactively to the entire community.
Moreover, media outreach is conducted through talks shows, editorials, and careful selections of targeted news stories. The church is also actively involved in the movement. Its participation starts by meeting with local pastors, other church leaders, and various congregations.
The 40 Days of Life campaign also conducts door–to–door petitions and education drives that reach out to every household in the city or town.
