Residents, church leaders, and abortion rights supporters on both sides of the abortion debate in San Diego are trembling in the aftermath of a leaked document indicating that a majority of Supreme Court justices might overturn Roe v. Wade case.

Weighing In on Both Sides of Abortion

San Diegans expressed their opinion on abortion as they weigh in on both sides of the intriguing case.

Local women's rights campaigners express surprise at the development of the case

According to CBS8 News, while Women's March San Diego founder Fran Carrillo expressed immediate astonishment and dismay, she also stated that they had been anticipating this moment for quite some time and that they had a good sense that it was going to happen.

Carrillo went on to say that while she believes California women would be protected, she is concerned about the repercussions of abortion bans being implemented in other states.

Meanwhile, Skyline Church Lead Pastor Jeremy McGarity stated that a reversal of Roe v. Wade would be a victory for many Bible-believing Christians.

He believes that if the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade on a national level, people will be able to recognize the United States as a country that no longer favors the practice of abortion.

McGarity mentioned that his wife was a result of a gang rape, where her biological mother was raped at the age of 14, but still wanted to have her despite the embarrassment and everything she had to go through.

"That gives me a very practical reason as to why we need to protect human life,” said McGarity, as quoted in the report.

According to legal analyst Dan Eaton, the Supreme Court's ultimate decision may be expedited by the leaked draft of the case's brief.

It's been leaked, according to Eaton, and the court could move to disclose the opinion sooner now that it's been revealed.

Everyone should wait before deciding on the ruling, Eaton advised.

About Skyline Church

Skyline Church's history is a testament to men and women who viewed themselves as a family that could conquer anything, and who simply followed God's plan for their small piece of a town that continues to expand and have an impact on the community and the world.

Orval Butcher established Skyline Church in Lemon Grove, California, at the intersection of Skyline Drive and Jamacha Blvd in July 1954.

According to the church's history, Skyline Church's first Sunday School and morning worship service was attended by 175 adults and children.

When Skyline Church reached 500 members in 1955, it was no longer a small congregation.

As of November 2018, Skyline Church's Senior Pastor, Jeremy McGarity, has been in charge. Seven, the church that Pastor Jeremy previously led, has now become part of Skyline Church.

Skyline Church's first satellite campus was launched, and it would serve as a model for future campuses to come.

As per the church's purpose, "We exist to help people find and follow Jesus seven days a week."

They believe that every person should be able to experience the grace and power of a genuine, life-changing connection with Christ Jesus.
