Santee United Methodist Church organizes a fun-filled activity for K- 6 Graders. The Monumental VBS is scheduled for July 25 – 29.
Monumental VBS for K-6 Graders
As announced on Facebook, Santee United Methodist Church invites all kindergarten through sixth-graders to come and join a fun and free event this summer. The Monumental Vacation Bible School will run through July 25 – 29.
As shared on Facebook, 100 children will join the Monumental Vacation Bible School at Santee United Methodist Church for a week-long activity. Santee UMC prepares games, crafts, music, and meaningful service projects.
According to Santee UMC, this is an excellent opportunity for kids to gain new friends and grow in faith. The Monumental VBS will run from 9 a.m. until noon every day. However, the first day will begin at 8:30 a.m. to make an extra smooth, “first-day” time possible.

Children’s Ministry at Santee UMC
Santee United Methodist Church shared on Facebook an update regarding its Children’s Ministry Room. According to the update on March 24, the church is still putting the finishing touches on its Children’s Ministry Room.
The church encourages everyone to come and check the progress of the Children’s Ministry Room. Santee UMC also extends its gratitude to everyone who donated supplies and helped make this project a reality.
Still from Facebook, last March 23, Santee UMC shared how KICK celebrated “National Green Week” with a Prayer Hike and talked about caring for the Lord’s Creation. According to the shared update, Santee UMC continued the conversation that day, March 23, as it celebrates “National Kitty and Puppy Day.”
Additionally, the church visited one of its Youth’s places of business and learned about providing better care for animals around them. Santee UMC also encouraged K- 6th-grade students who might be interested in joining them.
Pancake Time, Breakfast for Everyone
On March 5, Santee UMC shared how it continues to serve hot and nourishing breakfast for its neighbors. Through Facebook, the church shared that volunteers have been gathering on the first Saturday of every month for more than a decade.
This team works to offer a delicious Pancake Breakfast. The pandemic is not a hindrance for volunteers to continue with their service. According to Santee UMC, it makes them happy to train another generation of “Flapjack Flippers.
Santee UMC encouraged more volunteers to see how this is done. The church asked volunteers to come to church to see how breakfast is made and served. It also encouraged everyone to join them for breakfast from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Meanwhile, the church also announced about “Naomi’s Closet.” It is a beautiful and tiny boutique at Santee UMC parking lot. Naomi’s Closet offers free shoes, jewelry, toiletries, clothing, and more to women who could use some helping hand.
The boutique is open every Wednesday from 10 a.m. until noon. It is also open on the third Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
