SD Rock Church to hold first ever Pre-Marriage Getaway Kick-off

In line with the 20th Annual Marriage Getaway, the SD Rock Church will be hosting their first-ever Pre-Marriage Getaway Kick-off on June 12 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Sunset Park.

The church announcement posted that there would be an afternoon full of fun and games. Also, it is an opportunity to meet other married couples in their neighborhood. They added that it would be a pack your own style picnic.

They also announced that children are welcome to join if couples do not have childcare. The event would be free of charge.

Marriage Ministry

The SD Rock Church Marriage Ministry page reveals that they are made to ensure that premarital, married couples, and families are nurtured with a solid Biblical foundation so they may empower relationships with Christ and each other.

In another section, they noted that the church's goal of having marriage coaching is to assist partners in dealing with life's challenges in a pleasing way that honors the Lord Jesus. They wanted to allow couples to enjoy His love for each other and enjoy their plans thoroughly.

Pastor Darren Carrington is the Marriage Ministry Pastor of SD Rock Church, as posted on their Leadership team section.

He achieved his dream of making it to the NFL, but he realized that his life was incomplete. He surrendered his life to Jesus. Carrington began his youth ministry task before accepting the calling of being a marriage pastor.

Just Married for Newlyweds

Just Married ministry exists for the church to equip newlyweds from zero to three years of marriage, the Just Married page revealed. They added that they conduct classes and events. The church also holds Bible study to meet other couples wherein they can have good fellowship while growing together.

Besides, they said, their ministry desires to be determined to strengthen couples with solutions to the everyday struggles in early marriage. Aside from the said programs, they also offer one-day classes and communication and financial sessions.

Marriage Getaway 2022

One of the SD Rock Ministry's highlights is the Annual Marriage Getaway, which will happen from July 15 to July 17.

The church website mentioned investing and indulging in members’ marriages as a weekend. The said activity is an opportunity to escape from the daily busyness of life. It is a chance to reconnect intensely, spiritually, and emotionally, as posted on the website.

Moreover, they added that this weekend getaway could make participants laugh, cry, and they will have enough time alone with their spouses. They could also have lifelong friends. The website highlighted that they sell out every year.

The same webpage posted that the regular price of the said activity is $700.

The $50 off coupon promo ended June 10. They noted that this admission fee includes access to the two-night getaway conference sessions held at the Hyatt Regency Indian Well Conference Center.

The church's YouTube video stated that a getaway is about building friendship and unity. It’s for married couples to get equipped and recharged. The footage showed a packed house of teams gathered together, having fun, and praying together.
