SUMMARY

The Annual Giving Manager will help ensure the success of GLIDE’s annual fundraising activities and provide stewardship and targeted outreach strategies for increased giving based on industry best practices and donor interests and needs. The Annual Giving Manager is responsible for meeting annual fund budget goals and GLIDE’s planned giving program. This position serves as a critical member of our Fund Development team with an opportunity to learn and grow professionally in all aspects of development.

This person must work few, non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, holidays) and be present at fundraising events. This is a hybrid on-site and remote position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties can be assigned, and the duties and responsibilities of the job are subject to change without notice.

Develops and implements strategies for donor renewals, upgrades, and stewardship for GLIDE’s 20,000 active donors
Responsible for annual fund revenue goals, donor retention goals, and other goals related to annual fund donor and donation metrics
Segment active donor pool, design and implement strategies to increase giving for strategic donor segments with the highest ROI
Works with Development Operations, Gift Officers, and Direct Marketing colleagues to interpret and evaluate donor tracking and reporting systems related to annual giving.
Manage the mid-level giving program and develop a pipeline of donors for the major giving program.
Collaborate with the Communications Department and external consultants to project manage the $1M direct marketing program, including direct mail and digital engagement
Manage Planned Giving program marketing and outreach, provide follow-up communications, and respond to requests for information to planned giving donors and prospects.
Maintain electronic and paper estate documentation files. Assist with tracking pending estate distributions and updating internal department on expected gifts.
Assist in planning special events to cultivate future planned gifts and steward existing planned giving donors.
Research and maintain knowledge of fundraising best practices and industry benchmark data related to areas of focus for this position.
Record all interactions, including meetings, phone calls, emails, and mailings with donors and prospects in Salesforce.
Proactively improve donor data collection, reporting, and dashboards in Salesforce.
Provide informed and timely pipeline reports and revenue forecasts for all campaigns related to this position.
Support and attend select GLIDE donor cultivation and fundraising events.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
BA degree and 3+ years of fund development experience in a non-profit setting or equivalent combination of education and experience;
1+ year of marketing and market segmenting experience
1+ year of data analytics experience
Experience with fundraising databases (Salesforce) highly preferred;
Strong knowledge of online and social media vehicles for fundraising.
Planning giving and/or legal estate planning experience preferred
Experience managing a direct marketing program preferred;

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Exceptionally strong communication skills. Has the ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with diverse groups. Has the ability to reduce large amounts of information/data to concise points;
Excellent written communication skills. Ability to write clearly and concisely. Editing and proofreading skills essential.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to perform mathematic calculations with speed and high degree of accuracy;
Ability to interpret and analyze statistical data and other data found in reports relevant to programs or projects.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Advanced skills in MS Office suite;
High proficiency in Excel
Salesforce and Wealth Engine experience strongly preferred, but not required.
