Non-Exempt Position Description
OverviewWork with the Pastor of Connection, Community, and Care to cultivate a culture of connection and community at WCPC. This person will oversee weekend hospitality, and other event volunteer teams. They will have a front facing role in connecting with guests, supporting and coaching volunteers, and teaching as needed. And they will maintain the information systems for newcomers, volunteers, and community groups.
Key Responsibilities
Connections
Oversee weekend hospitality, guest services, and other connection events as needed
Lead Sunday volunteer teams using WCPC Connect, Coach, and Care values
Serve as a primary point of connection for guests and newcomers
Oversee, in conjunction with Facilities and Buildings and Grounds, look and feel of newcomer spaces: Lobby, Classrooms, Welcome Center, to provide a welcoming Guest Experience.
Manage first-time guest follow up
Help coordinate middle hour classes “Explore WCPC” for new people interested in belonging to our church
Work with Pastor of CCC to create onramps into WCPC for people not already connected

Community
Work with Pastor of CCC to identify and recruit Community Group leaders and/or coaches
Support launch of new groups
Connect those interested in joining groups with group leaders
Work with Pastor of CCC to equip, develop and care for each leader and/or coach
Lead/Teach Middle Hour classes as appropriate
Stay current on needs among Community Group leaders and coaches and provide real-time guidance when requested
Share regular communications with Community Group leaders to keep them informed and help them connect with one another
Work with leaders of various ministries to ensure information is current in church database, website, and other communications
Ensure Community Group information is current in church database
Pray with and for the leaders

Administration
Work with Communications Manager to support promotion of ministry
Support programs administratively as needed (registrations, data gathering and tracking, support for any gatherings (food, etc)
Other duties as requested

Ministry experience with small groups is preferred (volunteer or staff)
Solid listening, coaching and communicating skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Standard computer skills and ability to work with Google docs and Planning Center
Undergraduate Degree required

Attends: Weekly Staff, Directors, and Worship Arts Meetings
Supervises: no one at this time
Reports to: Pastor of Connection, Community, and Care
Hours: Full Time
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday
Back up: Pastor of CCC and in some instances Office Coordinator
