Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church Preschool is looking for an enthusiastic AssistantDirector of Preschool to join our amazing team! OverviewThe Assistant Director of Preschool is responsible for supporting the preschool director and the preschool staff in executing the day-to-day administration of the preschool office.
Required Qualifications

Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field - Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education Units, Additional 6 Units Admin credits Preferred or willing to complete in a timely manner, if not finished
- 1-3 years experience working in the administration of a school with a preference for preschool
- CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
- Updated Covid vaccinations card
Key Responsibilities Program - Responsible for the programmatic functions associated with the operation of the Preschool.
- Generate and maintain attendance lists for all classes and special programs
- Maintain attendance lists for substitute staff
- Together with the director, prepare, track, organize all necessary registration forms for the preschool
Bookkeeping - Use ProCare (the preschool accounting program) to process all payments from families.
- Prepare, distribute, and track all tuition bills per student
- Collect and post payments including tuition and other program-related revenues
- Maintaining database of accounting ledgers for all families
- Process vendor payments for church office and track annual budget expenses
Communication and Relationship Management - Responsible for interacting with others as an integral part of the Preschool staff.
- Communicate effectively and well with the director, teachers and preschool staff, parents, and church staff
- Maintain confidentiality of school records and administrative information
Office - Responsible for the administrative and clerical functions associated with the operation of the preschool
- Answer the phone and preschool correspondence
- Maintain office equipment
- Maintain files for all children and staff
- Monitor inventories and order office, classroom, and first aid supplies.
- Assist the director and preschool staff in complying with state and local government licensing standards and regulations

- Self-starter able to work independently
- Ability to work in a busy environment with many interruptions and distractions
- Administrative experience
- Recent experience working in an early childhood program is
helpful but not required
