- Be an example to those who you come in contact and serve with by exuding the love of Christ.
- Ensure that soiled dishes are stacked properly to be picked up easily for washing purposes
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwasher or by hand
- Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
- Assist kitchen staff with food preparation duties when needed
- Cleans garbage cans with water
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
- Sweep and scrub floors
Requirements / Qualifications
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and complete assigned tasks within given deadlines.
SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Long periods of time standing
- Flexible and changing working hours
- Highly physical exertion with duties involving the moving of materials weighing 10-25 pounds on a regular basis and 25-50 pounds on an occasional basis with assistance.
Physical Position Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand for extended periods of time up to 8 hours; stand; walk; bend; lift; use hands to finger, handle or feel; chop, dice and stir items; and reach with hands and arms. Highly physical exertion with duties involving the moving of materials weighing 10-25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 60 pounds on an occasional basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Specific hearing abilities required include soft and loud sounds.
