Job Summary
The Location Modern Worship Leader is the church’s Modern Worship leader in the West. As a member of the Modern Worship team, consisting of Modern Worship Leaders from each location, I will work collaboratively to create, select and arrange music and recruit, develop and train volunteer worship leaders for bands and choirs. As a member of the Worship Team, the Modern Worship Leader partners with the Location Pastor to provide excellent worship that engages everybody in attendance. They will help the Location Pastor in the weekly worship planning process and engage with every other aspect of the location’s ministry by working collaboratively with a diverse team of ministry leaders.

Position-Specific
Directly oversee the detailed planning, preparation, and execution of modern worship music at the West location. (Instrumentalists, worship leaders, performance and rehearsal responsibilities, special events, and religious holidays such as Christmas Eve and Easter) ensuring the highest levels of excellence in the musical offerings.
Assist in planning worship with the location pastor and worship team members.
As needed, provide leadership for modern worship services, rehearsals, and other events.
Provide spiritual leadership, looking for opportunities to ministe, disciple,e and encourage others to grow in Christ.
Lead, mentor, and provide direction to volunteer leaders. This includes ministry assessment and performance evaluation, goal setting, mentoring, spiritual encouragement, support, and conflict resolution.
Build effective teams, identify high-capacity leaders, and equip people for ministry.
Recruit, manage, motivate, and equip volunteers.
Coordinate logistics, including setting up and tearing down for rehearsals and weekend worship service needs.
Manage all musical instrument and equipment repair, maintenance, replacement, and security.
Willingness to engage with outer bands, artists, and community groups in other venues to bring artistic expression into the church's life.

Competencies
Proficiency in guitar or piano, preferably both instruments, and proven experience as a teacher and instructor.
Proven experience in performing, training, and directing a group of musicians in various musical genres and working on a team of people.
Knowledge of modern worship music, traditional hymns, and secular songs appropriate for a worship setting.
Able to relate to and lead a multi-generational congregation in worship
Team Building – forms highly effective teams, supervised or informal, where individuals with diverse skills achieve ambitious goals.
Driving Vision and Clarity – ensures people are on the same page and understand the cross-functional role teams play in making the church a successful
Designing Creative Arts – expresses or fosters creative and aesthetic design – visual, auditory, or tactile.
Able to recruit and grow a musical program through outreach and community involvement in the arts. High level of initiative, motivation, and enthusiasm.
Motivating – creates a climate where people are inspired to do their best to help the church achieve its purpose.
Proficiency in Mac & PC platforms and Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in Pro Presenter and Planning Center is preferred.
Qualifications
Minimum Years of experience: 5 years of experience as a worship leader or similar profession with demonstrated success in terms of growth.
Proven Results in Developing teams of volunteer musicians and promoting worship excellence.
